Materials
•Yarn:
5x 50gram balls of mercerized cotton yarn in your chosen colour. The yarn colours should ideally fade gradually from dark to light.
tip: You can make a rainbow effect too or simply use one colour. This is a great make to use some leftover yarn colours.

Basic knit pattern
An Important bit:
Please read all instructions and assemble requirements before beginning the pattern.
Cast on 3 stitches in colour one.
Row 1: knit one, yarn over, knit one, yarn over, knit one (5 stitches)
Row 2: knit one, purl to last stitch, knit one
Row 3: knit one, yarn over, knit to the last two stitches, knit one, yarn over, knit one.
tip: The rest of the pattern is an alternating repeat of rows two and three, changing colour as sggested below.
Continue knitting, repeating rows two and three until the work measures 20cm from the starting point to the needles and then swap to colour two.
tip: All colour changes occur at the beginning of the new row.
The colours are knitted to the following guide:
- Colour 1: 20cm
- Colour 2: 15cm
- Colour 3: 12cm
- Colour 4: 10cm
- Colour 5: 7cm
When the last colour is knitted in, break yarn and weave in the ends. Set the Tassel maker to the middle setting (18.5cm long).
To make a tassel, wrap the tassel maker 20 times with yarn.
Tie the middle with a piece about 30cm long.
Cut the tassel from the maker and use a piece of yarn to tie the middle.
Make three tassels, one from colour one and two from colour five using the tassel maker.
Use the long tail to secure the tassels to the beginning point and the two top points.
