Cut the outer and lining pieces as shown in the diagram, and draw the stitch lines. *If extra margins are available, you can rough-cut and embroider the pieces first, and then accurately trim them.

Copy the template design onto the outer fabric and embroider it. Then, erase the marks and redraw the stitch lines on the outer (lining) fabric.

Making the bag

Make a handle by folding the cloth as shown in the diagram for machine-sewing or hand-sewing. Make two of these handles.

With the front sides facing each other, fold the outer and lining fabric and sew both sides. Leave an opening for turning the lining inside-out.

Align the lining and outer fabric with the front sides facing each other, place the handle in-between, sew around the opening, turn it inside-out from the opening of the lining, bind in a U shape, and stitch to complete the bag.
