Cat body: DK, 50g per 165m, 55% Nylon, 45% Acrylic
Jumper: 4-ply, 50g per 226m, 55% Nylon, 45% Acrylic
Needles used
• To knit body, 3.5 mm Bamboo Kniting Needles Takumi Single Pointed (23 cm)
• To knit jumper, 3.0 mm Bamboo Kniting Needles Takumi Single Pointed (23 cm)
Tension
• DK; 28 sts and 36 rows for a l0xl0cm tension square
• 4-ply; 30 sts and 44 rows for a l0xl0cm tension square
Practical tips
• Leave at least 10cm tails at the beginning and end of each piece for sewing.
• When you make up head, leave a small opening after stuffing. Insert needle from opening to embroider face.
• If you are using eye beads with washers, attach them before stuffing the head.

With B, cast on 10 sts.
Row 1 (WS): Purl.
Row 2: [Kfb] in each st to end. 20 sts

With A, cast on 9 sts and work 25 rows in St st, starting with a p row. Break yarn, draw through sts, pull tightly and fasten off.
Grey cat: White moss stitch jumper
With D and using 3.0mm needles, cast on 26 sts.
Front and back: work the same
Rows 1-4: [K1, p1] to end.
Row 5: K2, [p2, k2] to end.
Row 6: P2, [k2, p2] to end.
Row 7: as row 6.
Row 8: as row 5.
Rows 9-12: repeat rows 5-8.
Row 13: K2tog, [p2, k2] five times, p2, k2tog. 24 sts
Row 14: K2tog, k1, [p2, k2] four times, p2, k1, k2tog. 22 sts.
Leave marking thread at the beg and end of the row.
Rows 15-26: repeat rows 5-8 three times.
Row 27: as row 5.
Row 28: as row 6.
Row 29 (shape shoulders): Cast off 4 sts, k13, cast off to end. 14 sts
Rows 30-35 (shape turtle neck): With the WS facing join yarn and work 6 rows
in St st, starting with a p row.
Cast off.
Sew one shoulder edges all the way to neck. Stitch the other at the farther ends (away from neck ends) and leave remaining shoulder edge un-sewn.
Grey cat: Sleeves (work both sides the same)
Pick up 20 sts between the marking thread.
Rows 1-2: [K2, p2] to end.
Rows 3-4: [P2, k2] to end.
Rows 5-6: [K1, p1] to end.
Cast off.
Grey cat: To make up
With fasten-off yarn end, seam body half way. With cast-on yarn end, work a gathering thread along cast-on edge and draw tightly. Sew rest of base seam, stuff and close body. Work the same way for head. with A, work a gathering thread along eyeline row and pull thread gently to shape eye dent. Attach eyes. With E, embroider mouth, nose and whiskers with backstitches. With fasten-off yarn end, sew side edges of ear and with the seam in front centre, sew base corners together. Attach ears to head. Seam arms and legs and stuff. With A, insert needle from base centre, take needle out from top of foot and repeat. Pull thread to flatten sole and shape ankle. Attach limbs to body. Seam under-arm and sides of jumper. Dress the cat and sew remaining shoulder seam. Seam tail and attach it to body.

With D and using 3.0mm needles, cast on 26 sts.
Front and back
Rows 1-4: [Kl, pl] to end.
Rows 5-12: Starting with a k row, work 8 rows in St st.
Row 13: K2tog, k to last 2 sts, k2tog. 24 sts
Row 14: P2tog, p to last 2 sts, p2tog. 22 sts. Leave marking thread at the beg and end of the row.
Rows 15-28: Starting with a k row, work 14 rows in St st.
Row 29 (shape shoulders): Cast off 4 sts, k13, cast off to end. 14 sts
