picture

With regard to knitting methods, there are the "American style" and the "French style". Hereunder, you will find the explanation of the "American style" in which it is easier to make stitches evenly by holding the knitting needle firmly.

Remove one of the knitting needles. Hold the knitting needle with the cast on stitches in your left hand, and the removed needle in your right hand.

Insert the tip of your right hand needle from back to front into the first stitch in your left hand needle.

Wrap the yarn around the right hand needle following the direction of the arrow. Meanwhile, hold your right hand needle with your left hand.

This is how it looks after wrapping the yarn.

The wrapped yarn is pulled in the direction of the arrow.

Drop off the knitted stitch from the left needle.
