Making
Cast on 35 stitches in the light green yarn. Knit stockinette stitch until the work measures 55cm.
TIP: you can easily make this project longer or shorter.
Bind off, fasten and weave in the end of the yarn. Use the crochet hook and single crochet around the edge of the knitted runner with lemon green.
TIP: crochet into every second knitted stitch so that the edges lay flat.
On the corners in the first row, make two single crochet into the corner stitches.
In the second and third rows, make three single crochet stitches into the corner stitches for the corner increase. Crochet 3 rounds to make the border.
Fasten off and weave in the end of the yarn. Block the runner making sure that the corners are nice and sharp.
Using the Hairpin Lace Tool and the lemon green yarn, make two rows of lace 35cm long.
Use the large darning needle and the lemon green yarn to secure the lace to the ends of the mat.
