Row 2: purl 1, knit 1 repeat across the row.
Continue alternating Row 1 and Row 2 until you reach the desired length (21cm).
Instructions for the Dishcloth:

CO 40 stitches. This will give you a square dishcloth.
Work in Moss Stitch (see above for pattern) for about 58 rows (21cm).
Bind off: Once you've completed your dishcloth, bind off loosely and darn in the ends with the darning needle.
Place the cloth on a flat surface and count in four rows from the right hand side. Place a stitch marker.
Thread the darning needle with the red yarn and weave a row of red yarn.
Working from the bottom edge, measure up four rows from the bottom and weave a row of red yarn across the cloth.
Scalloped Crochet Border:

Use four stitch markers to clearly show the corner stitches.TIP:work with the right side of the work facing you.
Work a round of double (US: single crochet) along the edges before starting the scallop round.
On the corners, remove the stitch marker and work three double crochet stitches into the corner.
Begin the scalloped edge:

On one corner, skip the first stitch, and slip stitch into the second.
Skip the next stitch and then 4 Treble (US: double) crochet into the next stitch.
*Skip the next stitch, slip stitch into the next, skip a stitch, 4 treble, skip a stitch and slip stitch into the next*.
Repeat from * to the end of the side.
Slip stitch into the second stitch (the middle of the three corner stitches)on the corner.
Crochet the second side as for the first.
Repeat sides one and two to complete all of the sides.
Break the yarn and weave in the ends with the darning needle.
