<Practical tips>
• Leave a long end at the beginning and end for sewing.
• Sew seam with the right side facing out, using mattress stitch.
• Attach eye beads before stuffing head if you are using safety eyes with washers.

BODY
With A, cast on 10 sts.

Left front
Row 8 (WS): K3D, p3C, turn.
Row 9: K3C, k3D, turn.
Row 10: K3D, p3C, turn.
Row 11: K3C, k3D. Place these sts on a holder.
Centre back
Row 8 (WS): With WS facing, join C and p12, turn.
Row 9: K12, turn.
Row 10:P12, turn.
Row 11: K12, turn. Place these sts on a holder.
Right front
Row 8 (WS): P3C, k3D, turn.

Rows 16-17: With D, knit
Cast off k-wise.
Pompom: make three
Wind each side of pompom maker 50 times, using B.
Cut between disks, tie centre firmly and cut loops. Trim.
TO MAKE UP
"With fastened-off yarn end, seam Head half way.
With cast-on yarn end, work a gathering thread along cast-on edge and draw tightly.
Stuff and close seam.
With A, work a gathering thread over eyeline and draw gently to shape dent.
Sew front and back of Ears together at side edges and attach them to Head.
Attach eyes. With 4-ply dark brown, embroider nose.
Make up Body as Head, working from fastened-off and cast-on edge.
Stuff. Seam and stuff Arms and Legs.
Thread A and pierce foot from sole, take out from ankle and repeat.
Pull thread to flatten sole and shape ankle.
Attach Arms and Legs to body.
Seam Hat and attach pompom to the tip.
Place some stuffing inside, put it on the Head and squeeze Ears through holes.
Secure Hat to Head with stitches all around.
Attach Head to Body
Prepare 2 strings of B cut to about 12 cm and attach pompom to each end. Attach strings to front of Vest. Dress bear in Vest and tie bow at front."
