Long tail cast on 46 stitches using 7 mm needle. Join in the round and work in k1, p1 rib for 6 rnds.

Change to 10 mm needle, work in St st for 21 rnds.

To close top of hat, fold the work with WS facing and join sides using a crochet hook. Insert the hook knitwise into the stitches on both needles and make a slip stitch seam.
